How do you prepare for a settlement session through Taradhi?
Understanding the conciliation service, organising disputed points and reviewing the parties’ agreement before approving the settlement document.
This article is for general awareness and is not legal advice for a specific matter. Laws, regulations and procedures may change. Applicable provisions must be considered alongside the facts and documents of each matter.
Section 01
What does Taradhi offer?
The Ministry describes the service as an electronic means of requesting conciliation and reaching an amicable settlement, with digital documentation and certification by the Conciliation Center. The service page describes access through Najiz and the Conciliation package, followed by Taradhi to select the request type and complete its details.
Understanding the service helps you prepare for discussion and identify the points to raise. Consult the official service link for the application steps available when using the platform.
Section 02
Organise the facts and define your objectives
Prepare a short summary explaining how the relationship began, what was performed and the disagreement. Separate agreed and disputed matters. Where money or mutual obligations are involved, organise them with supporting documents so they can be explained during the meeting.
It is useful to consider possible solutions in advance, such as arranging performance, repayment or ending a relationship on clear terms. These are preparation examples, not recommendations to accept a particular settlement; suitability depends on the file and parties’ interests.
Practical preparation guidance, not legal provisions or official requirements.
Section 03
Parties’ approval and the approved settlement document
The Ministry’s statement explains that the parties’ agreement is referred for review and approval and that their consent to issue the settlement document is requested through the platform. It also explains that the resulting settlement documents are enforceable instruments that can be enforced through enforcement courts if recorded agreements are breached, under the prescribed procedures.
The document’s significance therefore depends on its approved wording and specific obligations. A proposal discussed during negotiations should not be confused with the document issued after completing the procedures.
Section 04
What should you review before approving?
Read the parties’ names and capacities, agreement scope, amounts, dates and methods of performing obligations. Ensure the wording reflects your understanding, especially where there is a waiver, release or settlement covering multiple claims. Ask for clarification before approving any unclear clause.
Keep the approved document and later proof of performance. If a court file or approaching date exists, check its position with the competent authority as part of assessing the matter. Legal preparation helps explain options and consequences without assuming every dispute ends in settlement.
Practical preparation guidance, not legal provisions or official requirements.
