Following cases and hearing dates through Najiz: what should you check?
A practical explanation of accessing case information and hearing calendars through official channels, and organising information for a legal review.
This article is for general awareness and is not legal advice for a specific matter. Laws, regulations and procedures may change. Applicable provisions must be considered alongside the facts and documents of each matter.
Section 01
Najiz is the official channel; this guide is independent
Najiz is the Ministry of Justice’s electronic justice services platform. This awareness article is published by Abdulaziz bin Faisal Kamel Law Firm. It does not represent Najiz or the Ministry, provide access to your account or directly retrieve your case information. To access your data, use the official Najiz link and verify the website address before signing in.
For a specific case status, rely on the authorised person’s account on the official platform and notifications from the competent authority. Do not send passwords or verification codes to anyone offering to follow a case.
Section 02
How do you check a hearing date in Najiz?
The Ministry of Justice describes the ‘View Hearing Calendar’ service as follows: sign in to Najiz using National Access, select all electronic services, then the Judiciary package, open View Hearing Calendar and select all hearings. The Ministry lists a pending case and a scheduled hearing among the access requirements, with additional capacity requirements for agents or guardians.
Record the hearing date, time and case number as shown in your account, and consult official notifications for changes. A date forwarded in an unverified message is not a substitute for checking your account with the competent authority.
Section 03
Following business cases and updates
The Ministry explains that a business representative can view cases brought by or against the business and their details through Najiz Business, after signing in through National Access and selecting Judiciary in the judicial profile. This requires an activated business account and cases linked to it.
When reviewing a case, distinguish its number, parties and capacities, court, latest action and any displayed hearing or decision date. This organises information for discussion with a lawyer; it does not replace the official file or approved documents.
Section 04
When do you need legal review beyond checking the status?
The platform displays procedures and dates, but assessing the claim, responses, documents and effect of a decision or judgment requires reading the complete file. If a hearing is approaching or a decision requires action, do not wait for a general consultation request response before verifying the deadline and procedure with the competent authority.
A lawyer can assess facts, requests and documents and identify what is needed according to your capacity and the case stage. A legal outcome cannot be inferred from Najiz’s case status alone. Sending case details to the firm’s website is not a court filing through Najiz.
